OVERVIEW
Flamin’ Hot is an award winning short film in which a lovesick girl must face the harsh challenges of her now distorted reality in order to overcome a messy breakup. This piece is part of an experimental anthology exploring young adults battling against physical manifestations of their new-found emotions to avoid complete madness.
I directed, sculpted the main character, animated one third of the shots and simulated the clothes for the entirety of the film. This project presented many challenges as it was the first time I modeled a character intended to be used in a production. Creating blendshapes, 3D modeling hair, simulating socks and their many collisions with the ground was a first for me. I am very grateful for being a part of this amazing project with an equally amazing group of people, who made working on it so fulfilling.
