OVERVIEW

Flamin’ Hot is an award winning short film in which a lovesick ​girl must face the harsh challenges of her now distorted ​reality in order to overcome a messy breakup. This piece is ​part of an experimental anthology exploring young adults ​battling against physical manifestations of their new-found ​emotions to avoid complete madness.

I directed, sculpted the main character, animated one third ​of the shots and simulated the clothes for the entirety of the ​film. This project presented many challenges as it was the ​first time I modeled a character intended to be used in a ​production. Creating blendshapes, 3D modeling hair, ​simulating socks and their many collisions with the ground ​was a first for me. I am very grateful for being a part of this ​amazing project with an equally amazing group of people, ​who made working on it so fulfilling.
